
Box Cricket Rules & Profiling
Players and Field:

6-8 players per team

Indoor space: typically 60-70 feet long and 40-50 feet wide

Artificial turf or mat for batting strip

Game Duration:

Usually 5-12 overs per innings

Each over consists of 6 balls

Batting Rules:

Batsmen must run between wickets as in traditional cricket

Runs scored based on where the ball hits:

Straight wall (direct hit): 6 runs

Straight wall (after bounce): 4 runs

Side walls: 2 runs

"Jackpot" area: 8 runs (specific designated area)

Bowling Rules:

Bowlers limited to 1/4 of total overs or maximum 2 overs

No-balls and wides are penalized with extra runs and a free hit

Bowling action must be legal as per cricket rules

Fielding and Dismissals:

Caught, bowled, run out, and stumped dismissals apply

Unique dismissals include:

Ball going outside playing area

Ball hitting designated "out" areas

Equipment:

Smaller bat than regular cricket

Softer ball (often tennis ball covered with tape)
